This article discusses the importance of professionally oriented tasks in developing the communicative competence of economics students. It analyzes the role of tasks based on professional situations in helping students use economic terminology correctly in English, express their ideas clearly and logically, participate in business communication, conduct negotiations, and deliver presentations.
