Abstract

This article analyzes the state of the educational system in Central Asia in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the parallel functioning of traditional schools-madrasahs and Russian- native schools, and the formation of Jadid pedagogy. The study highlights the impact of colonial educational policy and examines the processes of intellectual modernization in the region. The author interprets the Jadid movement as a crucial stage in the development of modern pedagogical thinking and substantiates the role of new-method school curricula in addressing social needs and developing critical thinking.
